The film focuses on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, a group of world-destroying mutants led by Apocalypse, and their conflict with the X-Men. The film wastefully uses popular female and people-of-color characters, such as Raven, Jean, and Storm, and fails to make them interesting or engaging. The film also fails to capture the essence of the comics or the Civil Rights Movement.
