The Yale School of Medicine is the medical school at Yale University, a private research university in New Haven, Connecticut. It was founded in 1810 as the Medical Institution of Yale College and formally opened in 1813. The primary teaching hospital for the school is Yale New Haven Hospital.

Pre-med Requirements. The minimum requirements for admission to the first-year class are: Attendance for three academic years, or the equivalent, at an accredited college, university, or institute of technology. Satisfactory completion of the following courses, including laboratory work: General Biology or Zoology (2 semesters)
