KL stands for Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. It's a zombie comedy with no real scares. The zombies, an increasingly catch-all term are of the fast infected kind. In this film the virus is airborne and not just bite-inflicted, making it spread very quickly. The film quality is of a basic TV movie or well-done YouTube video.
Chosen answer: After the original zombie extra fell ill, the shark handler was made up to play the underwater zombie. ther shark was tame, or at least enough to to not attack the handler. The make up would have been latex/oil based, so it would not have been affected by the water. I remember from the commentary that the filming took 1 or 2 days.
There're no zombies eating flesh or people turning into zombies. It's a showdown between humans and dead samurai. The movie is intended to be a B movie, and has loads of elements that will please the B movie fans. The only negative is the low key atmosphere that seems to be the signature of Kitamura - Sakaguchi duo.
