Audience Reviews for A Perfect Getaway Oct 18, 2020 An always entertaining cast (Timothy Olyphant, Mila Jovovich, and Steve Zahn) elevates what could have been a mediocre tropical thriller.

Aug 07, 2009 · Directed by David Twohy (the man behind cult success Pitch Black ), A PERFECT GETAWAY is stylish, slick, and utterly hollow. As a whole, the film doesn't hold up to more than a moment of scrutiny -- but, at the same time, as it's unfolding, you'll probably be too distracted by the gore and tension to care.

Far from a perfect film, but it is a lot of fun. In the tradition of old-fashioned thrillers, the movie has some nice twists and turns in the plot. Full Review | Original Score: 3/5
Aug 05, 2009 · Could be. The movie is about two couples and a suspicious third couple. The two main couples are Cliff and Cydney, honeymooners in Hawaii, and Nick and Gina, hikers. They meet on a difficult wilderness trail on the beautiful island of Kauai. The trail is spotted with signs warning of narrow paths, steep drops, sudden rains and falling rocks.
lchazbits30 12 August 2009. A Perfect Getaway was a top-notch suspense thriller. With little if any plot holes, the movie overall had a solid developing story. A charismatic Steve Zahn and Timothy Olyphant put on two very entertaining performances.
"A Perfect Getaway" arrives in theaters at a fortuitous time. Summer has transitioned from effervescent delight to overheated slog, and as the temperature (and the humidity) have risen, so too has our desire for a snappy and refreshing cinematic experience.
Aug 07, 2009 · The answer, according to A Perfect Getaway, is very little. That premise serves as the basis for the film’s psychological manipulation of its audience. Things are never as they seem in a story that sports so many red herrings (“snappers”) that well before it’s over, you don’t much care what the real resolution will be.
