La tratta Corsico-Abbiategrasso fu soppressa l'8 dicembre 1956 e sostituita da un' autolinea [6] . La tratta Milano-Corsico, caratterizzata da un intenso traffico suburbano, rimase in esercizio per altri 10 anni, ma infine fu anch'essa sostituita da autobus il 5 marzo 1966 [7] .
