  7. Oct 12, 2022 · A reminder, it's a 2009 Malibu LT with the 2.4L engine and 145K mi. I rotated the engine by the crankshaft bolt to get the #1 cyl to Top Dead Center(TDC). However when removing the crank bolt the engine turned counter clockwise about 5-10 degrees. Upon trying to get back to TDC the intake phaser jumped a few teeth.
