Henry I (August 1267 – 7 September 1322), Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, called the Admirable ( German: Heinrich der Wunderliche, Latin: Henricus Mirabilis ), a member of the House of Welf, was the first ruler of the Principality of Grubenhagen from 1291 until his death.

After Elizabeth's death in 1261, Albert married Adelheid (Alessia) (1242 – February 6, 1284/85), daughter of Margrave Boniface II of Montferrat around 1263. Once widowed she married Gerhard I, Count of Holstein-Itzehoe. Albert and Adelheid had the following children: Henry I, Duke of Brunswick-Grubenhagen (1267–1322)

The Principality of Grubenhagen was a subdivision of the Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg, ruled by the Grubenhagen line of the House of Welf from 1291. It is also known as Brunswick-Grubenhagen. The principality fell to the Brunswick Principality of Lüneburg in 1617; from 1665 the territory was ruled by the Calenberg branch of the Welf dynasty.
