  2. Dec 29, 2017 · Biography. Adriana of Nassau-Dillenburg (7 February 1449 – 15 January 1477) was the daughter of Count John IV of Nassau-Dillenburg and his wife Maria of Loon-Heinsberg. On 12 September 1468, she married Count Philip I the Younger of Hanau-Münzenberg. She died on 15 January 1477 and was buried in the church of St. Mary in Hanau.

  5. Origins. Nassau, originally a county, developed on the lower Lahn river in what is known today as Rhineland-Palatinate. The town of Nassau was founded in 915. [1] Dudo of Laurenburg held Nassau as a fiefdom as granted by the Bishopric of Worms. His son, Rupert, built the Nassau Castle there around 1125, declaring himself "Count of Nassau".

Adriana married on 12 September 1468 to Count Philip I of Hanau-Münzenberg (21 September 1449 – 26 August 1500). Adriana died on 15 January 1477 and was buried in in Hanau.
