after-words is one of the few independent bookstores left in downtown Chicago. Our two floors house a huge collection of over 70,000 new and used volumes. We feature a wide variety of fiction, literature, poetry, and children’s books.
Oct 2022. There were a few used books but the huge majority of the books were new, contemporary titles at new book prices. Great selection here if you are looking for books by authors published recently. The fiction section downstairs is huge; easy to spend some time browsing here if you want to find something particular to your taste.
