The blend which is in the bottles represents the best 25% of the barrel samples. The wine has a classic cabernet nose of dark fruit. On the palate, in addition to cassis, there is leather, chocolate and a hint of licorice. The acid level is higher than most California cabernets, resulting in excellent balance.
