    The Airports Authority of India or AAI is a statutory body (created through the Airports Authority of India Act, 1994) working under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India.

    1990 version is designed by Benoy Sarkar, National Institute of Design (NID). He was blessed with teachings from legendary graphic designers like Paul Rand at Yale University while doing his masters. New version of the logo is in-house design by their Department of Architecture. It has been used since April 2010.
