    Alan J. Adler (born 7 November 1948; age 75) is a writer who wrote with Hilary J. Bader and Vanessa Greene the teleplay for the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "The Loss". In April 1993 he and Greene were interviewed by Craig W. Chrissinger for The Official Star Trek: The Next Generation Magazine issue 22, in the article "Alan J. Adler & Vanessa Greene: Victors of 'The Loss'".
