Jan 1, 1979 · An excellent and very comprehensive biography of Alan Ladd full of interesting and often surprising detail. It increased my respect for Mr. Ladd's subtle, but high effective, acting skills. A wonderful, highly instructive read. I highly recommend it. This book enabled me to appreciate Mr. Ladd's films to a much greater extent.
