Oct 30, 2009 · Since the early 90’s, a guitar I was once photographed in an ad for, the Ibanez 540P has been incorrectly listed as the “Alex Skolnick model.” This also happens on occasion with the the Ibanez 540S, the razor thin red guitar which I was most associated with back then.

Alex Skolnick (born September 29, 1968) is an American musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist and one of the songwriters of the thrash metal band Testament and has played with several other bands, including The Alex Skolnick Trio, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage and the heavy metal supergroup Metal Allegiance .
