The flag that serves as the symbol of the historical and geographical region of the Western Pomerania is divided horizontally into two stripes: light blue on the top and white on the bottom. It originated as the flag of the Province of Pomerania, Prussia, used from 1882 to 1935.

Jan 21, 2019 · One of the strange events that involved Pomeranians was when the Titanic sank back in 1912. Sadly, around 1,600 people died and countless pets. While there were many different pets on board, there were 12 dogs, in particular, taking part in the maiden voyage. Of these 12 dogs, only 3 survived: 1 Pekingese and 2 Pomeranians.

The flag of the Pomeranian Voivodeship is a yellow rectangle, with an aspect ratio of height to width of 5:8, with a left-faced black griffin placed in the centre. The griffin is standing on two feet with lifted wings, his red tonged out, and double black tail. The design of the charge had been adopted from the coat of arms of the voivodeship.
