The Nintendo Switch port of Alien: Isolation has better image quality than the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
Digital Foundry’s investigation into Feral Interactive’s Switch port of Alien: Isolation - which comes out today - has discovered that it’s the best the game has looked on a console.
This is surprising as most Switch ports are downgrades as the original games are designed for more powerful hardware found in other consoles and PCs.
The Switch version of Alien: Isolation has all seven DLCs, including a recreation of Ripley’s final mission on board the Nostromo in the original 1979 film.
Earlier this year, IGN debuted a digital TV series based on Alien: Isolation - it follows Amanda Ripley as she discovers her mother’s story while dodging a Xenomorph on the Sevastopol station.

TL;DW: With only a few minor, hard-to-notice exceptions, the game looks better than and runs just as well as the PS4 version in docked mode, and almost as good in portable mode. This is a pretty wild technical and artistic achievement, considering how good the game already looked.
