In 1190 Alix married Simon de Montfort (c. 1175 – 25 June 1218), [1] who later became the 5th Earl of Leicester. She accompanied her husband on his campaigns during the Albigensian Crusade and like her husband, she was very pious. Both of them had come under the influence of Fulk of Neuilly and they were patrons of the Dominican Order.

Herve de Montmorency, abbot of Saint-Martin de Montmorency, then deacon of the Church and dean of Paris before his death in 1192. Matthieu de Montmorency (d. Constantinople 1204), he inherited the lordship from his brother Theobald. Alix died before 1141. Her husband, Matthieu married Adelaide of Maurienne, the widow of Louis VI of France.
Alix joined the Crusade Council and recruited reinforcements in France. In 1217 she imprisoned the Jews in Toulouse. She went with Folke de Marcella to the French court to plead for her support, but she was with her when her husband was killed during the siege of Toulouse.
