The members of the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners are stewards of our state’s most important natural resource: water. Michigan’s drain commissioners, sometimes called water resources commissioners, administer laws involving flood protection, stormwater management, and soil erosion and seek to protect Michigan’s water resources in the process.

Arrest Warrants are not issued by the Sheriff’s Office. They are issued solely by the courts. The Warrants Unit of the Sheriff’s Office receives these warrants for entry into various local and national Law Enforcement data base systems, based on the information given to us by the courts.
Ingham County was established by an act of the Michigan Territorial Legislature on October 29, 1829, from portions of Shiawassee County, Washtenaw County and unorganized territory. It was attached for administrative purposes to Washtenaw County until 1838 when county government was established for Ingham.
