It was located in the Hunsicker School building on 6th Street and featured 70 works of art by local Impressionists. Just two years later, the museum moved to a home in Allentown’s Cedar Park, where it served the public as a local art museum for more than 20 years.

Founded and incorporated during the Great Depression (1934 and 1939 respectively), the Museum served the local community for twenty years in a city-owned, Federal-style house primarily exhibiting the works of area artists.
