  2. Alton Baker Park is located in Eugene, Oregon, United States, near Autzen Stadium. It was named for Alton F. Baker Sr., the eleventh owner (60 years after it was founded) of Eugene's The Guard newspaper (later The Register-Guard). [1]

  3. The modern history of Alton Baker Park began in the 1950’s, when the Eugene city council decided that we needed a bigger public park for the growing city. Over the proceeding 100 years, Eugene had grown from a few hundred to around thirty five thousand people.

  4. Great place for a picnic or a nice bike ride. Alton Baker Park is my all time favorite park in Eugene. There are two man made ponds there in which hundreds of ducks and geese live. My favorite activity is to take some old bread and go down and feed the ducks and geese.
