Each 8-week classes meet each week from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. either Virtually or In-Person at the Columbus Speech & Hearing’s Clintonville location, 510 E. North Broadway, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
Our ASL classes are open to all adults. At this time, we are unable to provide instruction for ages 15 or younger. Ages 16-18 may register for class, but adult supervision is required. If attending an in-person class, the adult/caregiver may be in the hallway if not participating in the class themselves.

This course introduces the fundamental elements of American Sign Language within a cultural context. It focuses on everyday interactions and brief monologues in ASL. Grammar and vocabulary are presented in context, using ASL as the language of instruction. Additional information about the Deaf community and culture is introduced.
The cost of each 8-week session for adults and youth ages 16 and older is $160 per person. The cost of a family class is $160 for adults and $80 for children. What time does class start?
Our classes are affordable and open to anyone in the community who wants to learn. American Sign Language classes are provided to help hearing people converse with neighbors and family members and to give those who become deaf later in life another mode to communicate.
