On February 15, 2024, Thomas Zambeck and Brian Katz, co-founders of Umbrelic Entertainment (founded in 2018), acquired the rights to the Anchor Bay Entertainment name. Zambeck and Katz plan to revive Anchor Bay; the new company will specialize in "genre films, undiscovered treasures, cult classics, and remastered catalog releases".
