Angel Island State Park Tours & Tickets The largest natural island in San Francisco Bay, Angel Island—a California state park—is often overshadowed by the much smaller Alcatraz Island. Yet with an equally interesting history as a West Coast version of Ellis Island, Angel Island also offers hiking, biking, and picnicking, all with views of the San Francisco Bay, city skyline, and Golden Gate Bridge.
Designed to get you there in time for scheduled tours and pick you up after the tour is completed. Contact the Angel Island Company at www.angelisland.com for cost and schedule. (Don't confuse the shuttle with the tram! The tram is a one hour tour around the island, the shuttle is a ride to the USIS.) OFF-SEASON SHUTTLE
Plan your day for both leisure and excitement while learning about San Francisco history when visiting Alcatraz Island and Angel Island in one complete tour.
The Angel Island Company offers open air tram tours of Angel Island seven days a week, April through September. We have a fleet of trams with seating capacity up to 50 people. We have a fleet of trams with seating capacity up to 50 people.
A few tips from my family's visit to Angel Island: If you're doing a one day visit, take the 1st ferry over to maximize your time. The island is bigger than you think with lots of sites to see and photograph. If you're going on a weekday during the off-season, none of the island services are available (bike rentals, cafe, tram tours, shuttles, etc).
