The Botanical gardens are wonderful to visit. I have been to several formal evening events in the atrium and enjoyed their plant sales that are open to the public. It is fun to come visit & walk the trails on the grounds. This is a wonderful Ann Arbor treasure.

Is a trip to Ann Arbor justifiable?
In my humble opinion, a trip to Ann Arbor is justifiable even if visiting the outdoor gardens and trails is the only thing you do there. We also visited the Domino's Petting Farm (which is not part of the U of Michigan gardens and arboretum and is a car-trip away).
