Are there any free multiplayer sites? I went to the zone and it said it's retired for AOE2, and it linked to gamespy I think but that cost money every month. I never played multi-player before and want to try it out and see if I like it.
Aug 20, 2007 · If you intend to play against public (anonymous) opponents, you will need, at a minimum, patch 1.0c, a multiplayer client, and an internet connection which allows AoK data traffic. The information below pertains specifically to The Conquerors Expansion, although everything besides the patch information is relevant to Age of Kings as well.

Been playing alot of Game of Thrones OVERHAUL on steam. It's a diplo map where you have to plot, steal, backstabb to gather 7 relics and be crowned King of the Throne. Really amazing game that gets played alot online.
