Sep 30, 2006 · Leonard Bernstein's recordings of Copland's RODEO, BILLY THE KID and APPALACHIAN SPRING are considered THE best by any conductor ever. I have to say Bernstein's RODEO deserves this honor, if some listeners might consider other recordings of BILLY and SPRING, but I think all three are among the top recordings, even after nearly 50 years.
