  3. Personally I have used both for swimming and I prefer the tampons. Mostly because when I use a cup, I always end with pool water inside it, which i find highly disgusting. I tried a few different cups, and different sizes (even tried the meluna sport which is supposed to be more firm, but to no avail). Never tried period swimwear.
