If you click on any image on Wikipedia, you will go to a page about the image itself. This image page will have information on the image's source, authorship, and copyright licensing, along with a more detailed description of the image. Apr 20, 2018 · I then used Google’s image search option to find them and they definitely were NOT in the public domain. Wikipedia makes it appear that you can use photos from their site. However, despite the disclaimers and attribution verbiage posted on Wikipedia, we definitely do NOT recommend using any photos from that site.

Libreshot.com, Unsplash and Public Domain Pictures feature high-resolution, public domain images. The New York Public Library has a huge archive of old photographs.
