Formerly known as York Park and Aurora Stadium, University of Tasmania was first opened in 1921 and has hosted first class Australian Football since 1923. The AFL moved fixtures there in 2001, and 2008 premier Hawthorn has also had home games at the venue.
Dec 13, 2022 · The Aurora Stadium will host the eighth and ninth games of the BBL 2020-21 season. Due to travel constraints, Cricket Australia has forced to abandon the traditional home and away format for BBL 10. While some clubs will have the opportunity to play in front of their home supporters, several matches will take place in neutral grounds.
