This sequence of USA maps illustrates how the temperatures change across the seasons. The series allows you to visually compare average temperatures among American states and through the year. A state's color is based on its average temperature for the season. Each color represents a different 5-degree Fahrenheit span of temperature.
The average temperature for the year in every USA state is listed below. The states are also ranked from the hottest state at number 1 to the coldest state at number 50. Below the tables there's a map that allows you to visually compare the annual average temperatures among states.
