The average baby seal, enters the world at around 20 – 25 lbs in weight, and about 3 feet in length, but it does vary across the species. They start to put on weight fast, up to 5 – 6 lbs per day but some grow to be much bigger than others. Baby seals can vary greatly in their growth between the different breeds.
