A high-performance culture is built by taking several critical steps: Leaders of companies with a high-performance culture identify the outcomes—the results or changes in business performance—that their organization needs.

Asking ‘Why Bain?’ is a way for members of the firm to determine whether you’ll contribute to the culture or detract from it. It’s one tool in Bain’s toolkit that assesses risk.
