In 2022 they did a complete remodel of the irrigation system. The fairways and greens are in fantastic shape. Course is very well maintained. You get views of Coronado Bay Bridge, downtown San Diego as the course is built on a relatively high plateau just three miles from downtown San Diego.
The original course was built in 1915 and the course record (old course) belongs to Sam Snead, who shot a 60 in 1943. This course, together with Torrey Pines, hosts the San Diego City Amateur every June.
