If my child is currently on a wait list for a magnet program, do I need to re-apply? All students seeking admission to a magnet program must apply for the school year for which admission is sought. To be considered for a magnet program for the 2024-2025 school year, you MUST apply by the application deadline, Friday, November 3, 2023 .

Who is eligible for a BCPS magnet program?
The wait-list status for all programs will be posted on the BCPS Magnet Programs’ Web site (http://dci.bcps.org/department/innovative_learning/educational_options/magnet_programs/) by mid-April. The posted wait list will identify the next wait-list number to be contacted if a program seat becomes available, as well as the next scheduled update.
Changes to the program selection (s) can be made until the application deadline. High School applicants ONLY: Non-BCPS report cards and/or testing accommodations documents must be uploaded with the application or emailed to Magnet@bcps.org. For more information, see page 4 of the Magnet Brochure .
