In 280 BC, Berossus wrote Babyloniaca (History of Babylonia) Berossus records a creation, flood and tower of Babel story. More importantly, he states that the location of Noah's ark was known and that people climbed Mt. Ararat to collect bits of wood to be used as lucky charms to ward off evil.
