Bessie Love was an American actress who worked with D.W. Griffith and Douglas Fairbanks in the silent era, and received an Oscar nomination for The Broadway Melody (1929). She also appeared in The Hunger, Ragtime, and Lady Chatterley's Lover, and died in London in 1986.
