Run the script. ./fix-fonts.sh. It will kill 2 font-related processes on your system. Don't worry, they will come back, especially if you open up Font Book. Reopen Firefox and see the problem no longer exists. Leave Firefox running (don't completely shut down), or the problem may return. If it does, just shut down and run the script again.
