Bimbo's father is referenced but is never seen. Bimbo had a baby brother in the earlier Talkartoons called Aloysius. Later on, Aloysius was recycled by the Fleischers into Betty Boop's sibling, Billy Boop. Prior to Bimbo's retirement in the original series, he was rebranded as Betty's pet dog.
