Go to Files and check this: Truncate existing files that are too large. Click on save button. You can close the settings by now.

   • If you'd consider using a different torrent client, take a look at qBittorrent. It has a "download in sequential order" option right in the context menu for every transfer. You can do that by clicking "don't download" for the files you don't want, then force back priority to normal for these when your file is downloaded.
