Black British are people who live in the United Kingdom but whose families are originally from Africa . The 2001 UK census [1] says there were 1.2 million Black British people. They were 2.33% of the population of the England and Wales. In the 2021 census 4% of people said they were Black, Black British, Black Welsh, Caribbean or African.
