Whereas everything around this place is on the pricier end, Blackwood has managed to keep prices low while offering some killer BBQ. It felt very much like a mom and pop shop with simple options, tons of sauces to drizzle, and sides that really slay the game.

Grabbed BBQ for lunch today and Blackwood BBQ doesn't disappoint! I got the pulled pork platter with Carolina bbq sauce and it's super tender and juicy. Pickles and onions were fresh and coleslaw was crunchy. The staff were super sweet too, plus love how cute their to go bag is.

Situated adjacent to Bibibop in the Costco parking lot, the establishment boasts ample parking facilities, and upon the advent of consistently warmer weather, patrons will revel in a resplendent patio area. The eatery soft-launched a few weeks prior.

Blackwood BBQ has opened near my office by the Sears / Willis Tower, as they recently had a popular Grand Opening giveaway where peeps lined up around the block for a free lunch. I had been to another Blackwood BBQ location previously and liked the food, so I was looking forward to giving this new spot a try when there was not a crazy queue.
