This movie jumps back and forth to show their relationship over time. They have a girl named Frankie. He works menial jobs and she works as a nurse. He's a slacker and she's the tired responsible one.

  4. Minor spoilers. I didn't personally love the ending, however the fucking movie was amazingly real. Just didn't feel like he truly deserved forgiveness, or he'd actually change. Another great film I find was a norwegian film "After the Wedding".

  5. I vastly preferred it over Marriage Story, which felt way to scripted & fake. The acting & situations in Blue Valentine felt way more raw and real, imo. My favorite part of that movie was when they’re in the themed motel and he’s going “HAAA!!!! HAAA!!! Hey this is how people are going to laugh in the future.
