Just like this time last year, we are again featuring some of our favorite blues rock albums of the year so far. These are a few of our personal favorites.
Lou Ann Barton – (born February 17, 1954) Born in Austin, Texas, Barton is a blues-rock and Texas blues singer who has performed with artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. She has released at least seven albums starting in the 1980s for labels like Discovery Records and Catfish Records.
In the '80s and '90s, blues-rock was more roots-oriented than in the '60s and '70s, even when artists like the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Stevie Ray Vaughan flirted with rock stardom. By the '80s, blues-rock had become an accepted tradition, much like the blues.

In 2018 they won three awards at the U.K. Blues Awards 2018 including “Blues Album of the Year” for their latest album, Exile & Grace.
