Feb 9, 2022 · It’s also easy to train to Ravenna to see the amazing mosaics and to Ferrara for the beautiful Castello (& more amazing food). We saw some of Parma and Modena on our all day food tour, but those are also nearby for day trips. We loved Bologna and plan to return in fall 2022.

Feb 6, 2024 · 488 posts. Bologna is a great spot to indulge and satisfy any food cravings, you're not going to find singular destination attractions like you would in the big-3 of Italian travel but, its a great city to walk-around, eat and generally absorb the vibe of being in a foreign country.
Jun 10, 2022 · Has anyone been to Bologna this year? Any recommendations for restaurants, say up to about €40 per person for dinner? (Less expensive always appreciated; we just had a dandy meal in Siena - generous sized primi, wine, mineral water, and coffee - for €30 for the two of us.) I have no idea what price range to expect in Bologna.
