History. The church was originally built from wood in the late 1570s, in the town of Sambir, (in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth).It was commissioned by the Ruthenian (Polish: rusini), Queen of Poland and Grand Duchess of Lithuania Bona.
And, as any respectable castle, it has its own ghost. Black Lady Barbara Radziwill was poisoned by her mother-in-law, insidious Bona Sforza in 1551. What is more, it was in Nesvizh that the twelve golden statues of Saint Apostles were hidden during the Napoleonic war in 1812. All attempts to find them were unsuccessful.

The current iconic building with its elongated two storey brick and stone façade was reconstructed after a fire in the 16 th century, overseen by the Italian native Queen Bona Sforza. Hence the Italian parapet and gargoyles. Its two main entrances can be locked to keep thieves away at night, and nowadays it also houses souvenir shops.
