Apr 11, 2024 · Follow these instructions to install MS Windows 10 on a Mac for free. Go to Applications – Utilities and open Boot Camp Assistant on your Mac. Boot Camp will warn you that it will create a partition on your hard drive and that you should make a backup of your Mac before proceeding. If you’ve done this, click Continue.
Step 1: Check for software updates. Before you install Windows, install all macOS updates. On your Mac, log in as an administrator, quit all open apps, then log out any other users. Just ensure you've updated your Apple software first. If you'd like to perform a clean install of Windows 10, you can do that in the future after taking advantage of the free upgrade once.
