Bride Wars Critics Consensus. Bride Wars takes the already wearisome concept of battling bridezillas, and makes it thoroughly insufferable via a lazy script and wholly detestable characters.
'Bride Wars' is just too unrealistic. I mean, I love a good friend movie- and I love tear jerkers/drama/comedy. I can throw reality out the window in the name of good entertainment, but this film didn't entertain enough to ignore the unrealistic happy ending. All you are left with at the end are memories of how these two hurt each other.
BRIDE WARS is more of the same romcom fluff that Hudson -- whose career high is still her early, Oscar-nominated role in Almost Famous -- has been stuck in since How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

The movie is about the brides and their weddings, and that's that. The grooms are in fact remarkably inconsequential, spending a lot of time sitting on couches and watching their brides act out romantic and revenge fantasies.
