Sep 2, 2022 · The Bridge of Sighs is located within the Doge’s Palace, and forms part of the Palazzo’s museum route. Visitors to the museum will reach the bridge after passing through the elegant staterooms and frescoed halls of the Palazzo, before getting to grips with Venice’s extensive early-modern armoury on the way to the forbidding New Prison.
The Bridge of Sighs is included in the guided Itinerari Segreti ("Secret Itinerary") tour of the Doge's Palace, which you can book by appointment. This 90-minute tour is conducted in Italian; it also includes the prisons, torture chambers, and other rooms that normally aren't open to visitors.
