Apr 14, 2021 · Minnesota Oak. The first thing that sets Brother Justus apart from other whiskeys are the barrels they use. Wanting to make the oak more an ingredient than a vessel for the whiskey, Steger moved to Minnesota Oak barrels (made at a cooperage just a few miles from where Brother Justus lived) after experimenting with whatever other barrels they could get their hands on.
Oct 31, 2023 · Brothers Wright Distillery Plans. The entire distillery is outside like a traditional distillery. They are just wrapping up final plans before construction begins. The still is a 14” Vendome Copper & Brass Works column still. That still will be fed by eight 2,750-gallon Vendome fermentation tanks.
