Wednesday is family night at Camp Daniel Boone- in 2022, we anticipate being able to allow families of campers to visit, however, please note that these plans may be modified due to COVID-19 concerns, if need be. OA CALL OUT will be at 8:00 pm at the campfire ring.
Arrowhead Campsite has 21 cabins, each fitted with 2 bunk beds. The site also holds 16 tents. The site has incredible views of the 6,000 foot summit of Cold Mountain. There is a restroom facility on site which is shared with the campers in Boonesboro Village. There is also a large pavilion.
Jan 1, 2001 · Attended Camp Daniel Boone i July, 2000. Food was below average for summer camps. Several merit badge counselors told me they were instructed by camp leaders to pass everyone (after personally reviewing several merit badge programs I found that many requirements were being ignored). At Boonesboro Village inside Camp Daniel Boone, Scouts step into the late 1700s on Sunday afternoon and don’t return to our world until the following Saturday morning. They live as villagers, wearing long-sleeved hunting shirts supplied by the camp. They sleep in barracks.
Camp Daniel Boone hosts approximately 5,000 Scouts each summer from different councils around the United States. It offers different programs ranging from High Adventure, which includes whitewater rafting and kayaking, to 54-mile expeditions with backpacking at Shining Rock, mile-high camping, and many, many other fun-filled opportunities.
